This authentic 1920's platinum, cut to fit Onyx tablet, and old European cut and rose cut diamond DREAMY necklace will look absolutely perfect with that little black dress (or classic black scoop neck top and cute jeans if you're like me). This necklace of hand-made construction, circa 1920’s is comprised of a shell-shaped pendant fixed between a 1.00mm wide platinum cable chain, terminating in a spring ring clasp. The pendant is handset set with custom-cut scalloped onyx tablets, one Old European cut diamond surrounded by a crisp milgrain bezel, and fifteen smaller, bead-set Old European cut diamonds, from which is suspended a barrel-shaped drop, bead-set with thirty-four round rose cut diamonds. The center diamond is VS1 in clarity, G-H in color, measures approximately 3.95 x 3.95 x (2.37) mm, and weighs approximately .24 carats. The smaller Old European cut diamonds are VS1-SI1 in clarity, G-H in color, measure an approximate average of 1.73 mm in diameter, and weigh approximately .02 carats each. The round rose cut diamonds are VS2-SI1 in clarity, H-I in color, measure an approximate average of 1.00 mm in diameter, and weigh approximately .005 carats each. The approximate total diamond weight in this transcendent necklace is approximately .71ct t.w.. The onyx tablets measure from 3.67mm x 2.17mm to 6.70mm x 3.05mm. The pendant measures 1 3/8” x 5/8” over all with the total length being 18.25" inches long. The clasp is stamped “950” and this entire necklace has been tested and guaranteed to be platinum (how rare!). Appraisals
Jewelry Finds' pieces are independently appraised by highly-experienced, professional GIA-trained Gemologists. They are appraised as accurately as possible in the mountings so as not to affect the integrity of the pieces. The appraisals are for our use only but the pertinent facts are in our listings. We are no longer sending insurance appraisals after the sale due to some insurance companies demanding they come straight from the appraiser/not the seller.
